Why did we start MODERNA?

Several months ago, we met Katarzyna while attending a vernissage. Katarzyna is an interior designer. How did this seemingly random encounter lead to us starting a business?

(we don’t believe in coincidences, by the way).

"It was a summer evening, my business partner and I had dinner. When we were on our way home, we saw a painting in the display window of an art gallery. At the time, we were working on a large project for a veeery demanding investor. He wanted the wow effect. We were racking our brains trying to come up with something that would make him feel really special. We were running out of time, and I’m not going to lie, we were a bit dejected and overwhelmed by other projects.

The gallery was hosting a vernissage, so we went in. The painting from the display window was just what we were looking for. Sadly, it turned out that all the paintings had already been reserved or sold. But then we overheard two girls having a conversation. They were talking about that artist’s studio. So we approached them to ask if they knew him – we really wanted his works for our investor.

We got his contact information. But not only that, they also gave us something way better. They offered to collect for us the works of other artists matching that style, so that we could present them to our client.

That’s how he got his wow effect. He felt his needs were catered to, and we felt we succeeded (we also gained a lot of time and a peace of mind).

Thanks to Kamila and Marta, our services expanded to also include art. The wow effect."

 

That ‘random’ meeting is what started a chain of events which led to the establishment of Moderna.
